Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 6 May 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how CatProxies uses cookies and similar technologies on catproxies.com. It describes what these technologies are, which ones the website uses, why they are used, and the choices available to visitors.
This Cookies Policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which describes how personal data is processed more broadly.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is visited. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, to remember user preferences, and in some cases to collect information about how a website is used.
Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow websites and embedded services to store information directly within the browser, and tracking pixels, which are small image files used to record interactions with a page or message. Where this policy refers to cookies, it also refers to these similar technologies.
Cookies can be classified by who sets them and how long they last. First-party cookies are set by catproxies.com itself. Third-party cookies are set by other domains whose services are loaded on the website, such as a live chat provider or a security service. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies remain on the device for a defined period or until they are manually deleted.
2. Cookies Currently Used on catproxies.com
CatProxies operates with a minimal cookie footprint. CatProxies uses a small number of cookies: strictly necessary cookies that keep the website working, first-party referral and campaign attribution cookies, and - only if you accept them through our cookie consent banner - analytics and advertising cookies. Each category is described below.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to operate. They cannot be switched off in the consent settings because the website cannot function correctly without them. They do not store personally identifiable information beyond what is needed for the requested service.
Authentication and session management. When a customer logs into the dashboard at catproxies.com, a session cookie is set to keep the user logged in across pages and to protect the account from unauthorized access. This cookie is deleted when the user logs out or when the session expires.
Cart and configuration state. When a visitor selects a plan, configures the number of IPs, bandwidth, or other settings, this configuration is held in browser storage so that the selection is preserved during the checkout flow. This information is removed once the order is placed or the session ends. Payment itself is processed externally by Stripe or Cryptomus, and the visitor is redirected to those providers when paying. Stripe and Cryptomus set their own cookies on their own domains, governed by their respective policies.
Cloudflare security. The website uses Cloudflare for content delivery and security. Cloudflare sets cookies to identify trusted web traffic, to mitigate bots, and to support the Bot Fight Mode and CAPTCHA challenge features. The most common Cloudflare cookies are __cf_bm, used to distinguish humans from automated traffic, and cf_clearance, set when a visitor passes a CAPTCHA challenge. These cookies are essential for the security of the website and for protecting the service against abuse. More information is available in the Cloudflare Cookie Policy at https://www.cloudflare.com/cookie-policy/.
2.2 Functional Cookies (Live Chat)
The website includes a live chat feature provided by Crisp (Crisp IM SARL). The Crisp script loads on every page of the website, including the dashboard, so that the chat icon is available if a visitor wishes to start a conversation. The chat window itself opens only when the user clicks the chat icon.
When the Crisp script loads, it stores a session identifier in the browser using cookies and local storage. This identifier allows Crisp to maintain conversation continuity, recognize a returning visitor across pages, and preserve message history if a chat is started. No marketing or advertising data is collected through Crisp.
Crisp acts as a data processor on behalf of CatProxies. Information about Crisp's data handling is available in the Crisp Privacy Policy at https://crisp.chat/en/privacy/.
2.3 Analytics, Advertising, and Marketing Cookies
These cookies are set only if you accept the analytics and marketing category in our cookie consent banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, they are not set.
Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads. Used to measure how visitors find and use the website and to measure advertising conversions. These set Google cookies such as _ga.
Affiliate and referral tracking pixel. Helps our affiliate and referral tracking platform match referrals and measure partner campaigns. It sets no cookie until you accept this category.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings described in section 4. First-party attribution cookies (section 2.4) are separate and store only a referral or campaign code.
2.4 Referral and Campaign Attribution
When you arrive through an affiliate or referral link, or through a marketing campaign, CatProxies stores a small first-party cookie in your browser to remember which partner or campaign sent you, so a referral can be credited correctly if you register.
cat_aff - stores only the referral code from an affiliate link. It is set for up to 60 days and contains no personal information. If you register within that time, the referral is attributed to the corresponding partner.
cat_attr - stores marketing campaign identifiers (such as UTM parameters or an advertising click id) associated with your visit. It is set for up to 90 days, is first-party, and is not used to identify you to third parties.
These cookies are used for referral and campaign attribution and are not shared with third-party advertising networks. If you were referred, a limited set of data (your email address, IP address, and browser user-agent) is shared server-side with our affiliate and referral tracking platform to credit the referring partner and detect fraud, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Legal Basis
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (as transposed in Romania) and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user do not require consent. Cookies that are not strictly necessary require prior, informed, freely given consent.
The strictly necessary cookies described in section 2.1 are placed on the basis that they are essential to deliver the service the visitor has requested.
The Crisp live chat cookies described in section 2.2 are placed on the basis of legitimate interest in providing customer support functionality. A visitor who does not wish to load the live chat can disable third-party cookies in the browser or use browser extensions that block third-party scripts.
Analytics, advertising, and affiliate or referral marketing cookies (section 2.3) are placed only on the basis of your prior, informed consent, given through the cookie consent banner. The first-party attribution cookies described in section 2.4 store only a referral or campaign code and no directly identifying information, and are used on the basis of legitimate interest in measuring referrals and campaigns.
4. Choices and Controls
4.1 Browser Controls
Most browsers allow the user to view, manage, and delete cookies and to block cookies from specific sites or all sites. Instructions are available in the help section of each browser. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the website from functioning correctly, including the ability to log in or complete a purchase.
4.2 Disabling the Live Chat
Visitors who do not wish for the Crisp script to load can use a browser extension that blocks third-party scripts, or block the domain client.crisp.chat in their browser settings. The website will continue to function without live chat available.
4.3 Cookie Consent Banner
A cookie consent banner is displayed on your first visit. The banner will allow visitors to accept, reject, or selectively enable categories of cookies, and to change preferences at any time.
5. Data Processors
The third parties that may set cookies or process data through cookies on catproxies.com are listed below.
| Provider | Purpose | Policy |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Content delivery, security, bot mitigation, CAPTCHA | https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ |
| Crisp IM SARL | Live chat | https://crisp.chat/en/privacy/ |
| Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. | Payment processing (on Stripe's own domain) | https://stripe.com/privacy |

Stripe, Cryptomus, and Payssion do not set cookies on catproxies.com directly. They set cookies on their own domains during the payment flow, after the visitor is redirected to complete payment.
6. Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies are deleted when the browser session ends. Cloudflare security cookies expire within 30 minutes (__cf_bm) or 30 days (cf_clearance). Crisp session storage persists for the duration of the browser session and may include persistent identifiers that remain until cleared from the browser. Specific cookie durations may change as providers update their services.
7. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the cookies used by the website, in applicable law, or in the practices of third-party service providers. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised Effective Date. Material changes, such as the introduction of analytics or advertising cookies, will additionally be communicated through the consent banner.
